We use Nextiva (or similar compliant platforms) for conversational SMS/text messaging to communicate with patients and clients about our Services. This includes appointment scheduling/reminders, follow-up questions, notifications, care instructions, and other non-promotional healthcare-related messages. We may also send promotional/marketing messages (e.g., service updates, offers) only with your separate prior express written consent.

To comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), A2P 10DLC regulations (via The Campaign Registry/TCR), CTIA guidelines, and Nextiva's Business Messaging Registration policy:
  • Opt-In and Consent
    • Consumers can opt-in for text messaging by filling out a form at https://toriperrodin.md-hq.com/registration or during intake/registration].
    • The form clearly discloses: our business name (The Hormone Retreat), that you agree to receive SMS messages (including message and data rates may apply), the types of messages (e.g., appointment scheduling/reminders, follow-up questions, notifications, care instructions, and other non-promotional healthcare-related messages if checked), opt-out instructions (reply STOP to unsubscribe), and that consent is not required to purchase services.
    • Consent and the associated phone number are obtained via this written form, submitted electronically, and recorded in our customer management database for compliance and record-keeping. We maintain records of opt-ins (including timestamp, source, and exact language presented) as required.
    • For purely informational/transactional healthcare messages (e.g., reminders or results from a HIPAA-covered entity), we may rely on prior express consent (e.g., providing your mobile number during intake). Promotional messages require separate prior express written consent via the form or equivalent.
  • Opt-Out and Management
    • You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. We honor opt-out requests immediately and will not send further texts (except a confirmation).
    • You may also contact us directly [email/phone] to update preferences or revoke consent.
    • Standard message and data rates may apply; check with your carrier.
  • Message Content and Compliance
    • All messages include our business name for identification. We limit frequency, send only during appropriate hours (generally 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time), and ensure content complies with TCPA (no unsolicited marketing without written consent) and HIPAA (for PHI-related texts). We register our campaigns and numbers with Nextiva/TCR as required for A2P messaging to ensure deliverability and prevent spam filtering.
